Meet the Teacher
My name is Miss Megan Poe, and I am the 5-8 ELA teacher as well as the Student Council Advisor at Franklin Co. R-II. I have wanted to be a teacher since the age of seven when my second grade teacher took me under her wing, showing the kindness and individual attention that I now strive inspire in my own classroom. My decision to teach Language arts was inspired by my high school English teacher who showed both passion and innovation in her content area. To me, being a teacher is about not only teaching the content, but building lifelong skills and strong connections with students.
I attended Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri to earn my degree in Secondary English Education.
